Swedish SANTA LUCIA Celebration
The Swedish Lucia tradition is a festival of light celebrated on December 13th to mark the beginning of the Christmas season.
It features a procession led by a girl dressed in white with a candle crown, who represents the light in the darkest part of winter.
The event includes singing traditional songs and sharing special foods like saffron buns (lussekatter) and mulled wine (glögg). The tradition combines Christian and pagan roots, celebrating themes of light, hope, and kindness.

La tradición sueca de Santa Lucía es un festival de la luz que se celebra el 13 de diciembre para marcar el inicio de la Navidad.
El evento incluye canciones tradicionales y comidas especiales como bollos de azafrán (lussekatter) y vino caliente (glögg). La tradición combina raíces cristianas y paganas, celebrando temas de luz, esperanza y bondad.
DISFRUTA de pasteles, galletas, comida y bebidas navideñas típicas suecas (incluso bebidas sin alcohol) + VIDEOS de la procesión de SANTA LUCÍA y cantos del coro.
