Play It Again, Sam: A Human Journey
Step into a world of cinematic emotion as two captivating Brisbane voices bring the silver screen to life in Play It Again, Sam: A Human Journey. Inspired by the iconic line from Casablanca, this uplifting concert celebrates the unforgettable melodies that have shaped generations of movie lovers.
Celebrated classical soprano Rebecca Cassidy and acclaimed music-theatre mezzo-soprano Louise Dorsman, joined by pianist Mark Connors, traverse love, heartbreak, hope, laughter and triumph through timeless film songs. From the sweeping romance of The Godfather and the nostalgia of Casablanca to the haunting beauty of The Mission, Gladiator and The Shawshank Redemption, every number tells a story of the heart.
Audiences will be moved by soaring classics including As Time Goes By, Don’t Rain on My Parade, Over the Rainbow, Nella Fantasia, and Now We Are Free, alongside playful favourites from Mary Poppins and Top Hat.
Come along to Protected content for an hour of nostalgia, beauty and cinematic magic - a journey through the moments, memories and melodies that make us human.
