VAL-DE-MARNE HIKE

Dear Fellows

The hike starts in the charming green area of Val-de-Marne near the confluence of the Seine River and La Marne.

The gathering spot is at National Ecole Veterinary (Ecole Nationale Veterinaire). The Ecole Nationale Vétérinaire d'Alfort is one of the few establishments to have survived through the centuries, as well as revolutions and changes in political regimes. It has never moved, and was gradually built on the eleven hectares that initiailly formed the domain of the Château d'Alfort, preserving an impressive heritage that now gives it a highly original and unique cultural dimension.

We will be departing from there towards the confluence of both rivers.
Then, we can head along the bank of the Marne River to go around Daumesnil Lake. Then, we will carry on toward Vincennes Castle through the woods.

Please make sure you wear hiking shoes and comfortable gear for hiking.
Bring a lunch bag. Do not forget to bring water if the weather is hot.

Hike starts at Ecole Veterinaire de Maisons-Alfort Station. Line 8
(take bus Protected content 107)

The hike Start time is 11:30

The hike ends at Vincennes Castle at around 2:30 P.M.

Hike length: 18 km (approx.)

The terrain is mainly flat with some steeply walk.

I am looking forwards to meeting you all there at ECOLE VETERINAIRE D'ALFORT.

🥂 Cheers
