Olive Oil Seminar – Discover the Art of Tasting
Have you ever wondered what “extra virgin” really means, or why high-quality olive oil often tastes bitter and peppery? Olio Costa warmly invites you to an exclusive olive oil seminar, where you will learn about the production process, the diversity of olive varieties, and the art of tasting.
What to Expect:
- Introduction to olive oil production
- Overview of different olive varieties
- Differences between oils from green, unripe and black, ripe olives
- Understanding why quality olive oil can be bitter and peppery
- Identifying high-quality olive oil
- Tips for using olive oil in everyday cooking
- Guided tasting of at least eight olive oils from four Italian regions
The seminar lasts approximately 1.5 hours and concludes with a glass of wine and Italian antipasti.
Please note: Avoid perfumes or strong fragrances during the tasting, as they can affect your perception of the oils.
