Dear Outdoor Lovers,
on next Tuesday Berlin is going to heat up over 30 degrees Celsius.
So let’s go for a refreshing swim and picnic at one of my favourite beaches in town!

The meeting point is Schinkelbrunnen (fountain named after the famous German architect and urban planner) in the easterly beginning of the pedestrian area of Alt-Tegel on 1. July, 5:00 p.m sharp. Thanks for being in time.
We will walk to the Greenwich promenade, cross a bridge called Sechserbrücke and will find the sandy beach after additional 30 minutes, bathing spot Reiherwerder.

How to come to the meeting point:
I recommend to take the S-Bahn line S25 to Tegel. For the short walk to the meeting point Google Maps will assist you. As an alternative you could also do with U6 to Alt-Tegel but you might struggle with SEV (Rail replacement service) then. For your way back home there will be also night busses from Alt-Tegel in case it gets late.

What you should bring:
Good mood, swimsuit, towel, blanket, headlamp, some food and drinks to share.

End of the event:
Ending on the beach at Reiherwerder, time not determined.

Notes:
There are no changing rooms on the beach but bushes.
I will bring my bike for getting home after the event.
Due to the location of the beach not directly linked to public transportation this might be an option for you too. Please check on Maps.
Be safe outdoors: no drugs and no alcohol when swimming.
You participate at your own risk.

I am looking forward to see you,
Christian
