Ready to Join?

As the weather forecast is good for Sunday, a last minute hike is planned. It's one of the most scenic walks in Surrey and should be particularly nice on Sunday given the weather.


Walk through idyllic Surrey countryside and Protected content of woodland and chalk downland

Impressive views from the top as far as the South Downs

Visit the Old Fort and the grave of the upside down man

Walk across the delightful stepping stones

The beginning is a steep climb up to the top of Boxhill (about 20 minutes), after that it is flat

Distance: Protected content (approx)

Train: There is a train from London Victoria at 09.42am getting into Protected content station at 10.37am. there might be other options also available, please check times yourself.

Drivers: Limited parking at station. Parking available down the road at the Stepping Stones Pub

Bring a Packed lunch + water. We'll have a picnic by one of the streams. Pub stop after hike as well.
