THE HAPPY VALLEY HIKE

A very picturesque hike through the Surrey countryside

Highlights

Walk through picturesque countryside valleys and lanes

Visit the Medieval Chaldon Church (One of Surrey's oldest Churches)

Pass through farmlands and country homes

Walk through the idyllic Happy Valley and over the Farthing Downs

TERRAIN

This is approx 7. Protected content miles walk with several ups and downs so you need to be reasonably fit and capable of doing this kind of hike.

Ascents are not steep but there are several of them.

PACE

This will be a brisk paced hike. Allow about 3 1/ Protected content for the walk and 1/2 hour for lunch.

It might be quicker depending on speed of group......

Bring a picnic lunch with you to eat in the valley or earlier in the walk near Chaldon Church depending on time.

Just outside station entrance (TICKET OFFICE SIDE)

TRAINS

Protected content

We will be meeting at COULSDON SOUTH train station.

On Saturday there is a very short Protected content bus replacement service from Purley to Coulsdon South

At the end of the hike we will be passing through Coulsdon Town centre so you can get the train back from Coulsdon Town Station as well if you wish

STATION PARKING

Parking is available at the station
