A unique, picturesque and historical hike through the wonderful Wiltshire Hills encompassing a visit to the magnificent White Horse and the world famous Stourhead Estate.
THE WHITE HORSE HIKE
SATURDAY JUNE 11th 13. Protected content
We drive to Wiltshire and begin our hike along the hills encompassing the iconic White Horse of Westbury. The White Horse is the oldest and perhaps most famous of the Wiltshire Hills horses. It measures Protected content long and Protected content high. Above the horse are the remains of an iron age hillfort known as Bratton castle. Our hike takes us through the quintessentially English rolling hills of Wiltshire with views across the Wiltshire Hills

Time: Between 3 to 3 1/2 hours
Distance: 13.5 km (8.5 miles)
Hike pace: Brisk / Fast. You will need to be fit to attend both hikes

STOURHEAD CIRCULAR
Our route: Through delightful English countryside, lush green meadows, quaint country lanes. We pass near the River Brue & through bucolic pastures up to the wooded range forming the boundary between Wiltshire and Somerset & gaze upon the imposing Alfred’s Tower.
Prior to the hike we can have a quick visit to the stately home
