Reigate Hill & Gatton Park
Join us for one of the most picturesque walks in Surrey
Colley Hill - We get from the top, amazing views across the surrey countryside
Gatton Park - Nestling serenely into the North Downs, the lush pastures, mighty trees and sparkling lake designed by Lancelot "Capability" Brown
Reigate Fort - Built in Protected content part of a 72 mile defence line to protect England from possible invasion
The B17 Bomber crash memorial site
We walk along the North Downs Way and also part of the Pilgrims way through meadows and woodland, and up a hill. The hike has a number of twists and turns and goes into dense woodlands. There are several ascents and descents.
Distance: Approx 9 miles
Terrain: A few ascents and descents throughout the hike but very manageable for fit hikers
Starting point: Reigate Station
End point: Reigate Station
Facilities are very limited at Reigate station so plan to go on the train or before you come for the hike if possible
Meeting point is on the side of the station where the main ticket office is, NOT where Homebase is. If you are on the Homebase side take the tunnel under the station to the other side
Leave for hike at: 11.10 am
Finish: 16.30 (Could be earlier, depends on speed of group)
Check schedule and time on Protected content
