Hike starts at 10.45 am

This hike takes us over the picturesque Headley heath (Open Heathland, Woodland and Chalk Downland).

Across amazing Surrey countryside crossing forested hills, lush green meadows and to the top of Boxhill.

A good level of fitness is required for this hike

Highlights

We traverse the picturesque Headley Heath

Enjoy great views from Juniper top after a steep and picturesque White Hill ascent

Pass the Church of St Mary the Virgin, The grave of the Racehorse "Quick" and The Meer pond

Make our way through idyllic farmlands and forests

This is a very varied hike encompassing many scenic routes across the surrey countryside.

Parts of the hike will be muddy bring proper hiking boots / shoes

Length: 21 km Protected content

Time: Hike end time will depend on the speed of the group and lunch stop / other drinks stops along the way, but allow Protected content in total

Bring a packed lunch and plenty of water (atleast 1 litre).

Hiking shoes and waterproofs

Lunch stop at the top of Boxhill where there will be toilets

Terrain: Mainly flat / undulating but with 2 steep inclines

Terrain: About Protected content of ascent. There are a few ups and downs inclines, two of them being steep Protected content climb)

Pace: Brisk. You'll need to maintain a good pace (around 2.5-3.0 mph)
