Ready to Join?

A woodlands and parks walk through London. We visit Wimbledon Park, and it's small waterfall garden and lake. We then make our way to the idyllic Buddhist temple and walk around the gardens and spend a short time inside the temple itself. We'll then traverse some idyllic woodlands into Richmond Park & onto Richmond town centre along the river.We'll then proceed across the bridge towards Eel Pie Island

Terrain: A few ups and downs but mostly flat, parts of the walk maybe muddy so bring proper walking shoes. As always waterproof gear is essential in case of rain.

The walk will continue regardless of whether it rains or not

Distance: 10 miles Protected content approx

Pace: Medium (But a good level of fitness is required)

There will be a number of stops along the way. Those who want to come on a fast paced hike with few stops should not come on this walk

There will be a toilet stop about 10 minutes into the walk. Various toilet stops along the way

LUNCH: Bring a packed lunch and water

Walk begins: Wimbledon Park Station (On the District Line, 1 stop from Wimbledon station). There is only one exit at the station

Walk ends: Near Twickenham Station Protected content walk)
