The Lavender Fields

Trains are running on Saturday from London bridge to Chipstead Protected content
THE LAVENDER FIELDS (LINEAR WALK)
Walk starts at: CHIPSTEAD STATION
Walk ends at: COULSDON SOUTH OR COULSDON TOWN station (You can go to either)
As its Lavender season we'll hike to one of the largest Lavender farms in Surrey
We cross idyllic Surrey countryside, crossing farms, fields of wheat and barley, through woodlands and past the towns of Banstead and Coulsdon.
We then arrive at the Lavender Farm where we spend an hour for lunch and visit the Lavender fields which are in full bloom. This is quite a sight, both in terms of sight and smell
Walk length: About 9 miles (14.5 km)
Walk pace: Medium
Bring good walking shoes, waterproofs, packed lunch , water
TRAIN
From London Bridge station to Chipstead
CARS
There is parking along the road approaching Chipstead station but get there early as it's limited. We can get a bus back from Coulsdon South to Chipstead
Meet at: 10:55am
Leave for walk at 11.00 am
Hike fee: £8 (payable by bank transfer)
Entry to Lavender Farm: £5 (payable to the Farm when you arrive)
End time is approx. We may finish earlier / later depending on speed of group etc....
