Join us for a hike through idyllic Hampshire countryside ending at a well known Cathedral and Xmas market. We pass a famous 17th century Hospice, Winchester School and Jane Austen's House.

Distance: Approx 10 miles Protected content

Ascent: 1 short & steep ascent Protected content the rest is all flat

Walk pace: Brisk

Good hiking boots / shoes as parts of the hike can be muddy

Terrain: Mainly flat with one short but steep incline. The hike goes through woodlands, across streams and up Catherine's Hill, through fields and another small hill before meandering our way back to the town centre

Bring sandwiches and atleast 1 litre of water with you. There are places along the way we can stop to eat our lunch (by one of the streams). We will then have a short ( Protected content ) stop at The Bridge Inn Pub in Shawford for a toilet break / drinks.
