Honouring the Summer Solstice: A Yoga Nidra Practice

A deeply relaxing Yoga Nidra session begins with a gentle 10–15-minute sequence to loosen the joints and major muscles. The remainder of the class will be dedicated to Yoga Nidra, themed around Celtic spirituality, Earth connection, the garden, summer, and transformation.
We'll also take a few moments to share and reflect on our yoga experiences.
Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation that induces a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping, typically practiced lying down. It is renowned for relieving stress, depression, and anxiety, while also improving sleep quality.
Experience total physical and mental rejuvenation, with additional benefits that may include enhanced nervous and endocrine system function, cellular regeneration, elevated mood, improved creativity, problem-solving skills, and deep healing and restoration.
The session incorporates body and breath awareness along with visualisation techniques.
To prepare, create a quiet, comfortable space at home. You'll need a yoga mat, cushion, blankets, and something to cover your eyes—like an eye bag or a folded scarf—for added relaxation.
Enhance the ambiance with essential oils, soft candlelight, and soothing music or nature sounds.
If possible, please keep your camera on, at least at the beginning of the session.
Regular yoga practice, including breathwork and meditation, supports a stronger body and calmer mind, offering the perfect foundation for a healthier, more peaceful, and joyful life.
