Bobby Darin Tribute
Bobby Darin Protected content was an American singer, songwriter, and actor known for his versatility across pop, rock and roll, jazz, folk, and country music. Born Walden Robert Cassotto in the Bronx, New York, he rose to fame in the late Protected content and became one of the era’s biggest entertainment stars.
Darin first gained attention with the rock-and-roll hit “Splish Splash” Protected content , which he co-wrote and recorded in a single afternoon. He later reinvented himself as a sophisticated nightclub performer with swing and jazz standards, especially “Mack the Knife,” which became his signature song and won him Grammy Awards in Protected content . He also had success as an actor, earning an Academy Award nomination for the film Captain Newman, M.D.
Despite lifelong health problems caused by rheumatic fever as a child, Darin maintained an intense performing career until his death at age 37 following heart surgery complications.
