Jewish Music Around the World: A Rosh Hashanah Celebration
Welcome the Jewish New Year with a musical journey through Jewish communities around the world.
🍎🍯 This curated set features Ashkenazi, Sephardic, Mizrahi, Moroccan, Yemenite, Indian, Bukharan, Ethiopian, Ugandan and contemporary Israeli traditions, with songs in Hebrew, Ladino, Moroccan Arabic, Tajik and Amharic.
From lively folk rhythms to soulful prayers and modern global sounds, the program explores the themes of Rosh Hashanah: renewal, reflection, gratitude, compassion, peace and hope.
🎶 Brief notes will be shared in the chat with each song’s cultural background and meaning. No prior knowledge of Judaism is needed!
Come for the music, stay for the journey — all are welcome!
Shanah Tovah — may the coming year be sweet, peaceful and filled with beautiful music. 🍎🍯🎶
