Sabine Weiss est l’une des principales représentantes de la photographie humaniste française, aux côtés de Robert Doisneau, Willy Ronis, Edouard Boubat ou Brassaï. Ce courant, qui a connu son âge d’or après la seconde guerre mondiale, est célèbre pour avoir su saisir avec finesse la poésie du quotidien et montré avec empathie les sentiments, les joies et les peines des êtres humains ordinaires.
Sabine Weiss is one of the leading figures of French humanist photography, alongside Robert Doisneau, Willy Ronis, Edouard Boubat, and Brassaï. This movement, which enjoyed its golden age after the Second World War, is renowned for capturing the poetry of everyday life with subtlety and for empathetically portraying the feelings, joys, and sorrows of ordinary people.
Implanté au cœur du Vieux-Nice, le MUSEE de la PHOTOGRAPHIE Charles NGRE propose des expositions temporaires monographiques des plus grands noms de la photographie, ainsi que des thématiques présentant toutes les tendances, de la photographie ancienne à l’image numérique. Le musée est doté d’une galerie attenante consacrée à la création régionale photographique.
Located in the heart of Old Nice, the Charles Nègre Photography Museum presents temporary monographic exhibitions featuring the greatest names in photography, as well as thematic shows covering the full spectrum of styles—from early photography to digital imagery.
