SF Book Club March 2022 - Never Let Me Go

Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro
Nobel Prize-winning Kazuo Ishiguro challenges us with a dystopian science fiction novel set in an alternate reality of England, during a time when human cloning was authorized and performed.
Never Let Me Go is about three friends who are destined to let go of everything - their bodies, their dreams, their lives and the people they love. And there's nothing they can do to avoid that fate.
Eerie, chilling and poignant, the novel explores the futility of human life, its irreversible ‘completion’ and how we all choose to deal with it, further raising questions of what happens when science is not accompanied by ethics. Ultimately the novel is a meditation on the human condition, the place of our own willpower in shaping our destinies and the meaning of life.
