Midweek Dinner and Briscola Session at an Italian Restaurant

How about an early evening drink, a bite of pizza and leisurely game of Briscola, a popular Italian card game next Wednesday?

We’ll be meeting in an Italian restaurant with a warm and contemporary atmosphere perfect for culturing that ‘convivialità’ unique to Mediterranean countries - and often so hard to find in more northern climes.

The best match for the word ‘convivialità’ in English is ‘coziness’, or ’Gezilligheid’ in Dutch. But the Italian term is strongly associated with having a great time together, eating and drinking around a table.

I have booked a table for 6 people at the restaurant, which is offering us pizzas at the special price of EUR 12 on the evenings Monday through Wednesday. If more people sign up, I will book another table and we’ll have two groups of players.

If you decide to come and then need to cancel, please let me know so that I can inform the restaurant asap.

Ho prenotato per 6 persone al ristorante, che ci offre pizze al prezzo speciale di 12 euro ciascuna. Se si iscriveranno più persone, prenoterò un altro tavolo e avremo due gruppi di giocatori.
