Previously known as a "short, gentle bike ride", this activity is entirely unchanged except for the fact that it's now happening in winter. I thought of calling it "Cycling for Real Men!" but feared the woke world may possibly have missed the joke.

So, real men and Viking women, here we go:

A Protected content ride on trails, forest paths and little bits of road. Mostly car-free.

Meet at my place behind Strahov monastery. If you're carrying excess kit, feel free to leave it in my studio any time from Protected content , with us actually setting off at Protected content .
Push bikes up a rocky, tree-lined canyon (Chodecká) to the east end of Ladronka park.
Cycle all the way down the park (on the special tarmac cycle path) and under the main road to Hvězda walled hunting forest. Go through the forest. It's trail, with the odd root. Unsuitable for bikes with skinny tyres or small wheels. Not suitable for e-"bikes" which, let's be honest, are not bikes at all.
Emerge in Liboc. Look for the cows - if they're in residence, say "Moo!" Then about 500m of road, crossing pretty Evropská, and we're in Šárka. It's a tarmac path. You're welcome to win a polka dot jersey but I get off and push up the steepest hills.
End up at Veleslavin. Through the village, emerging at the military hospital, then back to my place through leafy Střešovice, again, on a mostly car-free path.
Beer and light nibbles afterwards in my studio for those who fancy a social.
Or hot soup, if requested in advance.
