Vineyard Visit, Sabering Sparkling Wine, Fondue Dinner in Lavaux

Join us for a Friday night unlike any other! This vineyard experience combines a visit with Valérie and Vincent Chollet of Aran, celebrating their work as winemakers and the breathtaking views from Aran in Lavaux, with sabering sparkling wine, and fondue dinner.

Activities: You will have a vineyard walk with the winemakers to learn about their work. Secondly each participant will receive 1 bottle of organic sparkling wine and have a sabering lesson from Xavier, the saber guru, with an (unsharpened) sword, to learn the technique of opening bottles in this unconventional manner. This will be followed by a fondue dinner with local gruyere/vacherin cheeses, apéro snacks and artisanal sourdough bread.

Wear sneakers or good walking shoes for the vineyard walk, and optional walk downhill to the train station. Clothing adapted to the weather as the walk and sabering are outdoors, dinner is indoors in the tasting room.

Arrival: Take a taxi to the vineyard, or arrive by train to Lutry from Lausanne at 18:10, and Xavier, the host, kindly agree to pick up guests who request it in advance. Make a note in your registration if you want this.
