Dear Art Enthusiasts,

I am delighted to invite you to the finissage of the solo exhibition Emergency by Marat Dilman, taking place at RossArt Gallery in Zurich on September 10th from 17:30 to 20:00. We will meet at 17:30, and the presentation will start around 18:15.

The curator of the exhibition, Vladislav Sludskiy, will make a presentation on The Deadlock of Temporality in (post/de)colonial Kazakhstan. Sludskiy will talk about the socio-political situation in Kazakhstan through the prism of contemporary art of Kazakhstan, including Marat Dilman’s photography.

Vladislav Sludskiy is a curator, educator and art consultant who has worked with established and emerging artists, galleries and institutions since Protected content is currently based between Almaty and Barcelona. Sludskiy’s curatorial work and articles have appeared in Brooklyn Rail, Ocula, Huffington Post, Art Asia Pacific, Esquire, Forbes, a number of catalogs and recently published book “Can Art Aid in Resolving Conflicts: Protected content

The exhibition Emergency marks the first solo presentation of Marat Dilman, an emerging artist from Almaty, Kazakhstan, in Switzerland. Known for his work in photography, Dilman's art delves into the narratives surrounding nation-building in newly independent states. His images capture real places, situations, and colors with minimal digital manipulation, despite their vivid and sometimes surreal appearance.

The entrance is free, and there will be a light apéro.

See you soon!
