The Origins of Man
Lecture is part of Ascona Science event. The Origins of Man: The Power of Diversity is a lecture by Massimo Polidoro
From the first living organisms to the vast array of human species that have inhabited Earth, evolution has been a long experiment in diversity. And we, Homo sapiens, are just the latest outcome of a history filled with possible alternatives. Massimo Polidoro takes us on a fascinating journey—through fossils, DNA, and brilliant insights—to discover how our species arose by chance, not design, and why recognizing the value of biological and cultural diversity is key to our future survival.
Massimo Polidoro is a writer, popularizer, and university professor. He taught "Psychology of the Unusual" at the University of Milan, and currently teaches "Science Communication" to doctoral students at the University of Padua and the Polytechnic University of Milan. He was a Visiting Scholar at Harvard University.
