We invite you to explore the oldest demarcated wine region (since Protected content the world by kayak .

In the 20th century, with the construction of 5 dams in Portuguese territory, it allowed safe navigation between Porto and Barca d`Alba.

The expedition takes place in a region where man has shaped the mountains with his own hands, creating mountains with vineyards where the best wines in the world are produced. The landscape is filled with vineyards and olive trees.

You will experience the Portuguese culture, gastronomy and visit historical towns and villages.

UNESCO also gave particular emphasis to the Côa Valley, considered World Heritage in Protected content , as "the most important site with open-air Palaeolithic rock art". It is called an open-air gallery, which helps well to understand the charm of another Douro Region. Here we can witness the primitive art of our ancestors and we can also appreciate another set of beautiful landscapes that dress the River Côa, a tributary of the Douro river.

The expedition is fully guided by very experienced guides registered with the Portuguese Tourist Board and American Canoe Association (ACA).

Each day of our expedition will be unique, with breathtaking landscapes, wonderful cuisine and accommodation in typical villages. You will live an exciting, spiritual and unique expedition, exploring the Douro Valley.
