A 50 Km Bike Ride - Not A Loop - Along the Oise River
The activity will only be maintained if no rain is expected.
PLEASE READ THE ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION BEFORE SIGNING UP
Our train (train J) will leave from Gare St Lazare at 10:52 (direction Mantes la Jolie) 》we will get off the train in Cormeilles en Parisis.
Traveling with our bikes, we cannot all get into the same carriage. We will all meet directly ON THE PLATFORM in Cormeilles en Parisis at 11:10 am.
!! You have very few trains going in this direction on weekends !!
As there are a lot of renovation works in summer, please check your itinerary in advance on Google Maps site or IDF Mobilité.
You can transport your bike on this train for free.
The path will be flat, but sometimes it's an earthen one, and it can get a bit narrow and grassy - with probably some patches of mud.
We will stop next to the "red bridge" of the Axe Majeur to have our picnic all together - and to enjoy this original construction (see picture). Please, bring a snack and a lot of drinking water : there are very few cafés on the way.
We will then keep on riding along the Oise river until we come to Persan Beaumont, from where we will take our train back to Paris, so it's not a loop. Our train will arrive to Gare du Nord.
At what time will we go back? I have no idea : it will depend on how fast we ride and how long our stops are. Normally .... we will take our train back at around 5 pm.
Please check the technical condition of your bike before leaving and bring a bike pump.
See you on Sunday ! 😊
