A 14 Km Countryside Walk Along the Yerres River
PLEASE READ THE ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION BEFORE SIGNING UP
It's not a loop - we will arrive to the station Boussy Saint Antoine (RER D) and we will leave from the station Yerres (RER D).
Please bring a picnic and drinking water. Wear good walking shoes - some patches of the path can be muddy.
We will take the RER D from Gare de Lyon station at 10:38 (direction: Melun). Please plan your trip carefully - there are few trains in this direction on weekends.
I will aim for the first carriage (that is - the one behind the train conductor) - if you don't find me inside, we will just meet on the platform in Boussy Saint Antoine at 11:11 am.
We will then cross the village of Boussy and we will start walking along the Yerres river.
At the end of our walk we will arrive to the Mansion of a famous French impressionist painter, Caillebotte.
Apparently, there is an interesting exhibition that one can see there now, so, if you wish, you can visit it (you'll have to buy a ticket to get inside the mansion).
To get back to Paris, we will have to cross the village of Yerres and take the RER D train.
I cannot tell you at what exact time we will be going back home: it will depend on how fast we walk, how often we stop, and so on.
See you on Sunday!
