This time let us combine a DVL quality trail with one of Denmarks most iconic Christmas markets. The Viborg City Trail is a round trip to explore the old Viborg, and along the medieval trade-route Hærvejen take us to Viborg Plantage. On our way back we will pass by the Søndersø Lake pass by Domkirkepladsen to finish at the Nytorv Christmas Market offering gløgg, æblskiver and other.

Distance 13.5 km. 60 m Elevation gain and loss. Difficulty: moderate

We will meet and finish at the Viborg Train Station, easily reachable from Aarhus and where there are also free parking possibilities. The start 12:15 fits with scheduled arrival of the direct train from Aarhus H.

Don’t forget to bring clothes for the season, drinking water and packed food and snacks.
