A Musical Tribute: Exchange With Thanos Mikroutsikos
This concert is a tribute to the recently deceased Greek composer Thanos Mikroutsikos by his intimate younger friend and colleague-composer Marios Strofalis. A presentation of the music and poetry of these two composers in melodic counterpoint, highlighting the power of Greek language and composition.
"The Belgian years (early 80s) constitute a hidden, creative "oasis" in Thanos Mikroutsikos's career. Living in Brussels, the composer connected with the director Henry Rons, leading to a series of great collaborations. Despite constant trips to Greece, his base during that period was Belgium, where he experienced some of his most productive moments."
