L’Atelier 21 is pleased to announce Présences immémoriales, a solo exhibition by Hako Hankson. The exhibition will run from June 9 to July 13, Protected content .
Conceived and produced during a residency in Casablanca, this new body of work unfolds through guardian figures, masks, birds, and hybrid forms. Nourished by the myths, beliefs, and rituals of West Cameroon, Hako Hankson’s painting reactivates ancestral imaginaries through a deeply contemporary pictorial language.
Through large-scale compositions animated by dense forms and vibrant colour, the artist constructs a pictorial space where collective memory, spirituality, and imagination unfold.
