Join me for a relaxed evening Christmas (photo) walk around Porto.

We meet at Trindade metro, and from there wander down to Aliados to admire this year’s Christmas tree and lights. Then we head to Batalhas and Igrega do Idelfonso.

From here we descend to São Bento and walk down the pedestrian Rua das Flores and on to Ribeira to enjoy the lights of Cais de Gaia reflected in the river, and the views of Ponte Luis 1, and Mosteiro Santo Agostinho da Serra do Pilar above Jardim do morro .

We cross the river to Cais de Gaia via Ponte Luis 1 and look back and admire the lights of Ribeira and their reflection in the river. From here we make away along Cais de Gaia to World of Wine, where we can pause and chat and share photos over a relaxing drink

For any photographers, this is a great opportunity to practice and improve hour night photography skills. Should you wish, I will be happy to offer tips and advice to help you.

Note: the weather at the moment can be unpredictable, so bring umbrellas and waterproof clothing. As long as it is not raining too hard the walk will go ahead; indeed, the lights of Porto will reflect wonderfully in the puddles and wet pavements.
