Coastal Walk and Relaxed Lunch
The weather next weekend looks at though it will be perfect; sunny and 25C (so not too hot). So let’s take advantage with a coastal walk from Miramar to Granja, stopping at a restaurant in Aguda for a leisurely lunch.
Meet at Campanhã train station main entrance at 11:45
We will then take the 11:55 train to Miramar, arriving 12:12
Miramar is a picturesque and thriving coastal town known for its iconic Capela do Senhor da Pedra.
From Miramar we will walk about 2km to Aguda along the boadwalk, stopping frequently to take photos and admire the coastal scenery.
Aguda is a delightful town, smaller than Miramar with quaint houses, fishing boats, and a famous sculpture.
Here we will stop for lunch at one of the restaurants.
Then we continue along the boardwalk to Granja, again stopping for photographs.
Granja is another picturesque coastal town, best known for its ‘Meia Laranja ‘, a semi-circular structure jutting out into the sea.
We will return from Granja by train to Campanhã, either 16:12, or 17:12 depending how long we take for lunch and how slowly we walk.
The distance of the walk is about 5km.
If you prefer to drive, you can meet us at Miramar station.
From Granja you can return by train to Miramar.
