Total Solar Eclipse
O August 12 there will be a total solar eclipse; the first in Portugal since Protected content !

And a perfect place to view the eclipse is the beautiful and tourist free Praia de Esmoriz.
We will catch the train from Campanhã station to Esmoriz, walk the short distance to Barrinha de Esmoriz and continue along the boadwalk to the beach.
The eclipse will begin at about 19:30. Afterwards, we will walk to Hélice Bar via the boadwalk for refreshment. Hélice Bar is next to the Costa Verde Aeroclub, and is without doubt the coolest café/bar in Portugal!!!

From here we will return to Esmoriz to catch the 22:01 train, arriving Campanhã at 22:34
The distance is 6km. Wear comfortable walking shoes, and you must bring solar eclipse safety glasses (available from El Corte Ingles floor 0)
