Castles and Claire Huangci in Graz
Anyone up for some castle sightseeing and a concert?
The Opera House in Graz celebrates the 250th anniversary of the American Declaration of Independence by hosting a concert with Bernstein's piano concerto and Dvorak's New World symphony. The Bernstein part will be in the hands of "flying fingers" Claire Huangci, a pianist known for her dexterity and virtuosity.
Tickets are on sale at Protected content , starting from 13 euro.
Since the concert ticket includes free transportation across the region, we can probably do some sightseeing before the concert and have a stroll both up the Schlossberg hill and around Schloss Eggenberg (and perhaps reach Einsiedeleihöhle , i.e. the very beginning of route #1, Protected content )
We can wrap up our walk with an afternoon coffee and the 6pm Glockenspiel show, before heading to the opera house.
Meeting point: let's meet up at Graz Hauptbahnhof at 1pm (or at Glockenspielplatz at 6pm or at the theatre entrance at 7pm)
