Walking Tour: Nazi Armaments and Forced Labor in Frankfurt
For many decades, the Adlerwerke were among Frankfurt's most prominent companies. During the Nazi regime, they became part of the German armaments industry, profiting from "Aryanization" and the system of forced labor. In August Protected content , a concentration camp was established on the factory grounds. More than 1,600 men were imprisoned there and forced to work.
This guided tour provides an introduction to the history of forced labor and the concentration camp subcamp, which operated under the code name "Katzbach."
