Their name refers to the tradition of singing storytellers, found across Europe and Asia. Like the traveling performers of the past, they focus on song, music, and narrative, creating an atmosphere where stories come alive through sound.
Their repertoire explores everyday life, love, exile, the consequences of war, and the beauty of nature. Audiences are taken on an imaginative journey from medieval and Renaissance Europe to America, moving from cantatas and folk ballads to blues, in a singular musical experience where song, music, and storytelling merge into one.
