Athens Photo Festival 2026
The Athens Photo Festival stands out as the biggest international photography event in Greece.
Seventy artists and artist collectives from 34 countries, prominent international guests, and a wide-ranging programme of events place Athens at the centre of the international photography scene.
The Festival’s main programme constitutes a large-scale exhibition, extending across 3,000 square metres and occupying all the museum’s exhibition spaces.
The exhibitions include photographic works, installations, screenings, archival material, and artist publications, expanding the terms through which the photographic image is presented, received, and interpreted.
With a clear focus on contemporary photographic creation, the Festival examines, through an exploratory lens, some of the key issues, challenges, and complexities of our time, fostering social, political, and intercultural reflection.
