Hiking in Teijo National Park
The title says it all.. let's have a wander in Teijo national park, specifically the Sahajärvi trail. There's a nice and varied landscape with high rocky sections, low lying marsh with duckboards, forest, lakes and even a couple of hand operated cable ferries. And a nice grilling spot half way around.
Also for those who like to spend more time outdoors (me!) there's the possibility to bring a tent and stay overnight after the walk, maybe try another trail in the morning before heading home.
Car is the most practical way to get there, the distance from Helsinki is around 140km, so about two hours with a stop for gas station coffee on the way.
The event is weather dependent, a little rain won't stop us but if seriously bad weather is forecast we'll reschedule.
Please note - there will be a dog on the hike. He's friendly but guard your sausages.
