Let's Celebrate Ourselves - Women`s Only Day
Let's enjoy our own Women's Day by strolling around Helsinki, looking at statues of women or statues by women.
How are women seen, what do they symbolize, what are they used for?
Let's put them in contrast to the statues of men. Prominent example: Mannerheim on his horse and the Crying Women and Children at Kiasma.
Later on we could discuss over a cup of coffee or a glass of wine our own perception on who we are and how we want to be presented in public art.
This is a women only tour.
To my experience we open up best about ourselves when we are just women.
It always creates an atmosphere of mutual understanding, openness and feeling safe.
