Afro-Latin Marimba Music at the Lunch Hour
The VPL (Vancouver Public Library) downtown has a lovely monthly music series called ‘Staircase Sounds’ that delivers shows from all corners of the world.
This time it is with the unique and energetic sound of Afro-Latin Marimba music group of talented young musicians of Muévete!
<Muévete, meaning “to move,” is a marimba ensemble that loves to get people on their feet and moving!
This talented group of young musicians, aged from 11 to 20, has been playing together for many years. In those years, they have played at festivals (Vancouver World Music Festival, Vancouver Island Music Fest, Richmond World Festival, Surrey Fusion Festival) and concerts around the province.
This year the group has been working hard on writing original songs that they can’t wait to share. “Muévete Marimbas”>
