Europe in Vancouver!
Celebrate the rich cultures, traditions, music, and flavours of Europe, at this annual Festival! Returning for its 26th annual edition, this free multicultural festival brings together a number of European communities from across Metro Vancouver, for a full day of live entertainment.
This year the festival is hosted by Slovenia, a tiny but beautiful country in central Europe, formerly part of Yugoslavia, at the Slovenian Hall in Burnaby. The festival showcases the diversity and unity of European cultures/countries (for example, Switzerland, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Czechia, Slovakia, Estonia, United Kingdom, just to mention a few) through music, dance, food vendors, community exhibits, and the popular European flag parade, with both indoor and outdoor performances.
Whether you are travelling to Europe, or have European roots or simply enjoy exploring international different cultures, this annual event offers a vibrant and welcoming cultural experience for all ages.
Take the public transit otherwise car-pooling is recommended (if anyone is for this option?).
See the schedule of participating countries at Protected content
Meeting point: near the main entrance at 10.40 am, otherwise in front of the outdoor stage at 10.45am where the Swiss will perform.
Note: the actual program lasts until 7.30 pm, so if you wish to stay longer, you’re welcome.
