Music Lovers-Enjoy Some World Music FREE

What a bonus! enjoy world music bands for FREE at Protected content on a sunny Saturday afternoon!

Part of the FETE DE LA MUSIQUE who present to you this talented group of musicians. You get to see the Afro-Francophone Style of Alpha Yaya DIALLO, a multi-talented artist, from Guinea, West Africa and of Deo MUNYAKAZI, musician from Rwanda, master of the inanga-traditional instrument.

You will also immerse yourself in the middle-eastern sounds of Reza ABAE, specialist in Iranian traditional tombak-percussion, and kamancheh instruments.
Then something different from the string trio Ensemble ABSINTHE, whose members are of mixed Euro-Quebecois-Canadian nationality, using violin, viola and contrabass.

What a way to kick off the Festival d’Ete Francophone de Vancouver, this year in partnership with the North Shore Jazz Series of the Vancouver International Jazz Festival, that will entertain you until July 5th.

Let’s meet at the Info Booth and/or main entrance. I have not been to this stage before, but will update you on the day of the event, if there is anything new.

The venue should be easy to get to by public transit, with a direct bus (no. 240?) from downtown or a short walk from the seabus - Londsdale in North Vancouver.
