The Cooking Story: Therapy in Ingredients
If you know me, you know I connect with people through their amazing stories, especially the ones carried through their kitchens!
Every culture carries healing in its kitchen.
In this series, we explore the stories behind the ingredients, condiments, and folklore remedies that helped you feel better, the broth that soothed your cold, the spice that calmed the stomach, the childhood mixture you believed to protect your heart. These aren’t just recipes; they are rituals of care, passed from one generation to the next.
Each participant shares how a simple ingredient helped them feel better, revealing the cultural wisdom woven into everyday cooking.
Through each story, we will discover how the way we cook reflects the way we alleviate ailments, soothe gastrointestinal problems, joint pain conditions and heal.
The Cooking Story is a celebration of how food becomes therapy, memory, and connection across cultures.
