This weekend we suggest a hike up a very beautiful mountain, next to the famous Grand Muveran, at the foot of the Arrête Vierge, next to Sex Percé (it’s a mountain…).

It’s a climb of Protected content altitude gain, in only 5km. It’s not technically difficult, but it’s a steep climb, not for beginners.

At the top we arrive at a ‘Cabane’ called Plan Nèvè at Protected content altitude, with a really amazing view, reaching all the way to the Lake Léman.

1. Timetable
We will depart at 10:00 from Protected content

2. Coordination
I invite you to send a WhatsApp message to me at Protected content so that I can set up a group for the hike, for any last-minute messages.

3. Transport
We will start atProtected content . I encourage all to car pool, and suggest that offers and requests be posted on the Internations board, with later coordination by WhatsApp.
I offer two spaces in my car, from Protected content
Each driver is free to decide on the contribution of each passenger, but in the absence of any particular policy, I suggest each passenger contributes based on a rule of thumb of 5 centimes per km for the journey there and back, as well as sharing any parking costs.

4. Clothing and equipment
Weather should be sunny and cool (20C or less), so bring some extra warmth in your backpacks. The restaurant at the top should be open, but the plan is to picnic outside, so bring your food and perhaps something to share. A banana and some extra chocolate will give you plenty of energy. As always, bring much water. Good hiking boots are recommended.

5. Ability levels
This is a medium difficulty but steep hike, not for beginners.

6. Costs
The only costs will be getting to and from the start point.

7. Cancellations
If your plans change and you can no longer join the hike, please cancel your participation on the InterNations site, as the number of participants is always capped and there may be other members who wish to join the hike in your place.

8. Weather: so far, Mostly Sunny and cool.
Hikes are weather-dependent. As always, if weather conditions deteriorate, we may postpone, in which case I will send a message to participants.

9. Responsibility
Please note that by signing up for this hike, you accept full personal responsibility for your own safety. The organizers are not trained professional guides and often have not hiked the route before. Their only role is to coordinate the participants, the responsibility for safety continues to rest with each participant.
