Chopbar Experience - Ghanaian Food
Hi all,
Let us try a new food joint in the 10th arrondissement inspired by the chop bar, a traditional eatery in Ghana.
We'll be able to choose from different Ghanaian inspired meals such as
Masa, a pancake made from fermented rice flour, with savory and sweet variations such as Masa Moyo and Masa Fried Chicken. We will also find comforting dishes like Kondré, a plantain stew revisited in a vegetarian version, and original creations such as Beef Plantain Balls, fritters made with potatoes, plantains and ground beef.
Don't expect vegan or no gluten options. Also if you believe African cuisine does exist, this one is not for you since Africa is not a country :).
To avoid no show, I will ask you to confirm your participation on the wall by Monday 12 August at 2 pm at the latest. Please do not email me, confirmation on the wall only.
Only confirmed attendees will receive the address. No confirmation, no seat.
This is a small place and there is no waiting list.
Thank you for canceling your attendance if you cannot make it.
See you there!

A chop bar is a traditional eatery in Ghana mostly located in the country's south. In Ghanaian pidgin, to chop, far from cutting, means to eat. It may also mean, in reference to money, to spend or squander. In other words, a chop bar is a place where people chop [i.e. eat]. It is a cultural icon of Ghana, and is a favourite of the locals.
