Photo exhibition MILAN IN THE 60'S and more!
MILAN IN THE 60’S
Discover Milan in the Protected content through the shootings of three photographers at Protected content . Ernesto Fantozzi, Virgilio Carnisio and Valentino Bassanini: three personal exhibitions of 25 photos each, moving between Milan's transformations and daily life, in the reportage of three significant authors.
In these three exhibitions we look at photographs that contributed to the study and understanding of that time, between the Protected content and the early Protected content , a milanese season perhaps unrepeatable. A testimony of invaluable architectural, urban and historical value; an even more precious documentation of the culture, habits and contradictory transformations in the ways of living, which accompanied Milan in the transition from the economic boom to the controversy. Three exhibitions in which the authors present us images without any aestheticism, documenting reality, as well as presenting themselves in their eyes, documenting the city and everyday life, giving us a precious memory of a precise historical period, a photograph that knows how nostalgically it is for whom that period he has lived it and has a great historical value and knowledge especially for the new generations. In the exhibition trail, each photo documents public events (the British Week of Protected content , the celebrations for the first May and the square demonstrations); the new aggregation sites such as La Rinascente in Protected content the various religious and civil celebrations (like the Corpus Christi Procession). Old courtyards, barracks, inns and old shops; people and jobs, some have disappeared. The protagonist is the heart of Milan's history and culture in the Protected content .
Ninety photographers tell Milan through an exhibition, Protected content which gathers, through the pictures, a contemporary split from the many facets of this international metropolis. It is a dynamic and timeless city of art, fashion and entrepreneurship Made in Italy, but today perhaps, much more. To find out, it is enough to see the shots of so many photographers who have taken the opportunity to tell it, to put it naked and to question it.

An old press made by Amos Dell'Orto, from Monza (awarded for industrial design at that time): we can see this machine made by this Company, the same that produced the one used for printing the first copy of “I Promessi Sposi”, written by Alessandro Manzoni. Last, but not the least, it is available a public consultation of a collection of historic newspaper “Corriere della Sera” that includes the two world wars.
