Ready to Join?

Hi everyone! I am pleased to invite you to another outdoor day trip, where we can enjoy fantastic views, being fully immersed in the nature, at about one hour by car!
"Landscapes", the photo exhibition realized by the Protected content in collaboration with Magnum Photos International and Foundation Henri Cartier-Bresson of Paris, presents Protected content and white images personally selected by Henri Cartier-Bresson, taken between the ‘30s and the ‘90s between Europe, Asia and America.
Although some people also appear in some photos, the author's attention is particularly focused on the environment, so we can talk about Landscape of Nature and Landscape of Man.
At the same time, there is also an exhibition about Henri Matisse, and “Il Ferdinando” about the Alps and their role in the history (about fortifications and natural frontiers: very interesting).
Protected content
First of all, don’t forget to bring your camera with you: this is a very good opportunity to use it!
Any level is welcome, smartphone, compact camera or reflex, I can help you to find the right settings, if you like.
We will leave at 9:30 from a metro station, details to be delivered. Our first visit will be at the Castle of Issogne, few kilometers north of Bard. In Valle d’Aosta there are many castles, some of them built by rich families, and others built like fortresses, for military reasons. The one we’ll visit was a property of the Bishops of Aosta, then restored in the 15th century by Ibleto of Challant, Issogne Castle’s current appearance developed between Protected content Protected content George of Challant, the prior of Sant’ Orso, who restored and transformed it into a luxurious residence. Our visit will be free of charge and guided, in Italian, because we will go during the Valle d’Aosta’s Culture Week.
After the visit, in a walking distance we will reach a nice restaurant, having the opportunity to taste some of the regional typical dishes.
At 16:00, we will reach the Fortress, but only after taking pictures from strategic point of views! Protected content the way back to Milan, we can stop to discover an ancient road, and a bridge, both made by Romans.

I kindly ask you to accept this invitation only if you’re sure to come. You must confirm to me your attendance, especially regarding your seat at the restaurant: I must give the exact number of participants, and only the first 30 will have a confirmed seat. Feel free to participate to all the day, or only to a part of it, but please write me a private message if you choose the latter case.
