“Amarga Navidad” (Bitter Christmas), Pedro Almodóvar’s latest film, follows Elsa, an advertising director who tries to cope with her mother’s death by throwing herself into her work. An unexpected crisis forces her to stop and travel to Lanzarote with a friend. Meanwhile, the film intertwines her story with that of a film director, exploring the fine line between reality and fiction.
