The film event dedicated to the artist who left everything to follow his primitive inspiration and completely reinvent western painting.
With the extraordinary participation of Adriano Giannini and the original soundtrack by Remo Anzovino.
From Tahiti to the Marquesas Islands.
In April Protected content Gauguin leaves Marseille bound for Tahiti, in Polynesia. He is forty-three years old and that day marks the beginning of a journey that will lead the artist to the antipodes of civilization, in search of the dawn of Time and Man. In the Tropics, Gauguin ( Protected content ) will remain almost without intervals until his death: a sometimes cruel Eden that will make him one of the greatest painters of all time among those who were inspired by the Muses of Overseas.
Retracing the traces of a biography that now belongs to the myth and a refined primordial painting, the event film, which boasts an original soundtrack signed by the composer and pianist Remo Anzovino, will guide us on a journey through the places that Gauguin chose as his homeland of election and through the great American museums where his greatest masterpieces are kept: New York with the Metropolitan Museum, Chicago with the Chicago Art Institute, Washington with the National Gallery of Art, Boston with the Museum of Fine Arts. Accompanying the viewer were international experts: Mary Morton, curator at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, Gloria Groom, curator at the Art Institute of Chicago, Judy Sund, professor at New York City University, Belinda Thomson, top expert on Gauguin , David Haziot, author of the most updated and accredited biography on Gauguin.
