"Frida-Viva la Vida" produced by Ballandi Arts and Nexo Digital, a documentary film that highlights the two souls of Frida Kahlo: from a selected part, pioneer of contemporary feminism, tormented by physical pain, and on the other, the artist frees from the constraints of a tortured body. Among letters, diaries and private confessions, the document directed by Giovanni Troilo proposes a trip to the heart of Mexico divided into six chapters, alternating exclusive interviews, period documents, suggestive reconstructions and immersion in the works of Kahlo. Over the years, Frida has become a reference model: it has influenced artists, musicians, stylists. Its importance has even exceeded its size. In Frida's works there is a profound link between pain and strength, torment and love. A bond that finds its legitimacy because it is rooted in a land, Mexico, which after the revolution tries to rediscover its origins through pre-Columbian iconography; it is precisely here that Frida explores the identity of opposites, a dualism that allows us to discover the point of contact between the suffering of her biographical events and unconditional love for art.
