"PRIMAVERA", ITA O. V.
Michieletto puts music at the center and lets the notes take the place of words to restore the sense of an inner revolution, as can be seen in the panic moment, en plein air, in which the miracle of Spring seems to take place. The film takes place in the early eighteenth century in Venice. The Ospedale della Pietà is one of the largest orphanages in the city, but also a reference point for music. Its most talented orphans are trained in one of the most renowned orchestras in the world. Cecilia (Tecla Insolia) is twenty years old and spends her days playing the violin, she has an exceptional talent but her art is confined to the orphanage, where she plays only behind a grate in front of rich benefactors.
